Organisation and Funding

Our research association ForDigitHealth consists of eleven projects. From 2019 to 2023 its scientists will work on healthy ways to handle digital technologies and media. The association will strive to learn about, understand, cope with, and avoid digital stress in better ways. The association is interdisciplinary and combines perspectives of five disciplines (information systems, psychology, computer science, communicational science, and medicine) across five Bavarian universities (Augsburg University, University of Bamberg, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München und Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg).

Every individual project provides research on their own topic within their discipline. By dividing them up into clusters (A-D), the results will be reconnected and reviewed in an interdisciplinary context. In addition, our members are in close cooperation concerning topics that are discussed in the overall association.

ForDigitHealth is represented by an elected scientific speaker (Prof. Dr. Henner Gimpel, information systems, Augsburg University) and the deputy speaker (Prof. Dr. Elisabeth André, computer science, Augsburg University), both determined by the members of the association. Furthermore, the office of the association is located at Augsburg University at the chair of the speaker and is responsible for managing the association as well as the internal and external requests.

ForDigitHealth one of several Bavarian research associations consolidated under the Bavarian Research Alliance.
